An extended review of the application layer messaging protocol of the internet of things

In the internet of things (IoT), there are resource-constrained and immense heterogeneous electronic gadgets worldwide. Till now, no single IoT application layer messaging protocol is best, nor anyone axiomatic for every requirement. This paper exhaustively summarizes information on protocols from available previous research sources online. Our goal to encapsulate a simple guideline so that users can choose an optimal quickly according development requirements specifications. For this purpose, we have reviewed literature six enabling evolving used systems namely, message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT), advanced (AMQP), constrained (CoAP), extensible presence (XMPP), data distribution service (DDS), text-oriented (STOMP) in terms some interrelated metrics. Additionally, represented critical analysis protocols. study will be helpful readers with valuable insights guide scholars developers choosing based specifications requirements.
